3 Tips to Prevent Dehydration in the Summer Heat

When the temperatures rise, getting enough to drink is important whether you’re playing sports, traveling or just sitting in the sun. Before you turn into a raisin inside and out, check out these three ways to prevent mid-workout dehydration.

Stay Hydrated
The right technique is to hydrate the skin, drink lots of water and keep yourself hydrated during summer. Body experiences fluid loss, such as when we sweat.  When we sweat we lose electrolytes, which are minerals found in the blood that help to regulate (among other things) the amount of water in the body.

Work out
Pregnancy, stress, extensive weight loss and aging cause the skin to sag. Hence it is recommended that one includes a tad bit of exercise to their daily routine to ward off the failing elasticity of the skin. Regular exercise is the key to a fit body and skin. Inversion exercises are best recommended for facial skin, as the blood flow increases tremendously by this. Exercises that cause the blood to flow towards the face are ideal as they play the catalyst to the rejuvenation of skin cells.

A Balanced Diet
Diet is very important for the skin tissue. Eat fresh fruits, green leafy vegetables and avoid junk food as much as possible! One’s water intake should be at least 3-4 litres a day. Detox water is also a great solution. It helps in eliminating the waste from the skin, thus making your skin look clean and gorgeous. Consuming vitamin E and cod liver supplements also works wonder to sustain one glowing elastic skin.

Lifestyle changes dictate the health of your skin and whole self, however if the damage is done one can still improve one’s appearance by meeting a dermatologist to get back to one’s youthful skin.
